« CommunoSerre : Intégration socio-technologique des serres communautaires et solidaires dans des quartiers urbains défavorisés affectés par la pandémie » est un projet interdisciplinaire financé par l'INRS, qui regroupe des chercheuses et chercheurs de l'INRS (Centre Urbanisation Culture Société + Centre Eau Terre Environnement), l'´École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), et le Laboratoire sur l'agriculture urbaine (AU/LAB).
De façon large, l’objectif de ce projet de recherche est d’évaluer le potentiel d’intégration des serres – une forme d’agriculture urbaine qui permet le prolongement de la saison de production – dans les projets visés sur la sécurité alimentaire dans des milieux défavorisés. Plus précisément, le travail sera effectué en évaluant les enjeux techniques, socio-économiques et politiques qui pourraient déterminer le succès des projets d’économie sociale et circulaire qui visent aussi la sécurité alimentaire en milieux défavorisés. Broadly, the objective of this research project is to assess the potential for integrating greenhouses - a form of urban agriculture that allows for the extension of the production season - into initiatives focused on improving food security in marginalized neighbourhoods. Specifically, the project examines the technical, socio-economic and political issues may mediate the success (or failure) of social economy and/or circular economy project that also focus on food security in disadvantaged areas.
